Educational ProgramsEducation is among the most significant member benefit offered by HFMA. Considerable resources at both National and Chapter levels are devoted to the development and provision of educational conferences and seminars. Programs are designed to provide up-to-date continuing education on current issues and topics vital to members and their institutions. Although both National and Chapter programs are similar in approach, both provide members with a broad range of dates, locations, and topics from local programs with local colleague interaction to National programs which attract registrants from a broad geographic area and National-level faculty. Most National HFMA programs offer group discounts and "early bird" pricing discounts. For more information, call (800) 252-HFMA using one of the following extensions: Registration, ext. 333; Information Requests, ext. 420; Education Department, ext. 335; Certification, ext. 310.
Annual National Institute Among many other excellent programs is HFMA's Annual National Institute (ANI). Typically held in June, ANI's location is rotated across the United States. Timely topics regarding your day-to-day activities are planned to help members function more effectively in today's volatile environment.
Seminar Series The Seminar Series is composed of 20 professional education seminars offered at over ten locations each year. Most seminars are two-day programs and cover topics such as Financial Management, Patient Accounts Management, Medicare, Managed Care, and Integrated Health Care. Seminars are generally offered in cluster format. You can tailor the cluster to your needs by choosing two seminars offered during a four-day period. A great way to get more from your investment dollar.
Conferences Each year at least six special topic conferences are held to keep members up-to-date on important healthcare issues. The conferences cover topics such as Information Systems, Legislative Issues, Quality, and Finance. Conferences are held in various formats to facilitate the learning process. These formats include institutes, panel discussions, lectures, and exchanges.

A one-hour authoritative presentation is followed by a half-hour period during which participants can interact with the faculty.

Rapid Response Program The Rapid Response Program is a series of late-breaking briefings held in rapid succession at strategic airport locations throughout the United States. Rapid Response Programs focus on hot issues, typically regulatory or legislative issues that come out of the Federal Register.
