Membership

How do I join?

Becoming a member in Heart of America Chapter of HFMA is easy. Just Contact Us to send us an e-mail requesting an application form to be faxed or mailed to you. If you have questions regarding HFMA, you can talk to anyone on the membership committee.

Don't just join, get involved!

There are many ways to take advantage of your membership. National HFMA is a tremendous resource for you, but getting involved locally can be very rewarding.

Local Meetings

Typically, eight or more educational meetings are held throughout the year. They usually run less than one half of a day, either beginning with lunch or breakfast. The networking opportunities are tremendous and the education is timely. Check out our Calendar of Events to register for the next session!

Regional Meetings

Once a year, currently in September, the Heart of America Chapter participates in a Fall Workshop along with members of the Sunflower, Show-Me, and the St. Louis Chapters. This two or three-day event is held in Kansas City.

Other joint meetings with local chapters are scheduled from time to time, and you will be notified of these as they arise.

Certification

Get certified!  Expand your career opportunities with certification through HFMA.  Heart of America Chapter members can receive the Certification Manual for self study at no charge. See the Certifications page for additional information.

Committees

Any member can participate on the many Committees involved in the management of the Chapter. HFMA is a volunteer organization and relies on the participation and commitment of its members to make it beneficial for all. Your involvement can be very rewarding, as it helps solidify your peer relationships. Take a look at the various committees and contact the committee chairperson if you would like to become involved.

Networking Events

Our Chapter sponsors up to two golf outings per year along with other social activities. Be sure to get involved in these events.
